Gushfil Mine

Gushfil mine is the main Bama Co. operation, located on the northern side of the Irankuh mountains. Mining is accomplished using the sublevel caving method at 10 meter level spacing and 10 meter center-to-center drift spacing.

Ore is trucked on the surface to the Gushfil plant, where it is stockpiled and blended into the crusher.

Romarmar Zone 5 Mine:

This mine is the second largest mine in this area and is also located on the northern side of the Irankuh mountains. Bama began the Zone 5 capital development to expand its mining operations in early 2013. Mining from the two main veins (V1 and V4) commenced in 2013.

V1 is extracted using the sublevel open stoping mining method with a 10-meter level spacing. The V4 vein, which is the main source of ore in this mine, is accessed by the main spiral decline, also 4 meters by 4 meters. The mining rate is planned at 20,000 tons/ month.

Tappesorkh 2 Mine:

Mining at Tappesorkh is undertaken using the shrinkage mining method with 10 meter level spacing. The mine is adjacent to Tappesorkh No3 and Romarmar Mine.

Kolahdarvazeh Mine:

Whereas Gushfil, Romarmar and Tape Sorkh are mined on the northern side of the Irankuh mountains, Kolahdarvaze is located on the southern side. Originally operated as an open pit mine, the remnant ore will be mined using underground methods.

Other Mines:

Gushfil zone 1 which was recently discovered and the exploration of this orebody is almost complete. It will be opened as a new mine in late 2017. The ore will be accessed from the existing Gushfil decline and again, extracted through sublevel stoping at 10 meter level spacing.

Mining in the other operations, including Tappesorkh No 1, 3, 4 and Kolahdarvazeh, is focused on the extraction of the remnant ore. The mining method for these mines will be a mix of underground sublevel stoping and open pit mining at 10 and 5 m levels spacing.
